This job is for an administrative assistant in a Navy training command, where you'll handle paperwork, support personnel needs, and manage records for military staff and their families.
It involves using computers to create documents, track information, and ensure everything follows security rules.
A good fit would be someone organized with office experience, strong communication skills, and comfort working in a military environment.
You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (OA) in the ADMINISTRATIVE/PERSONNEL SUPPORT DIVISION, ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT of RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Communicating effectively, orally and in writing, to interact with military and civilian personnel at all levels; 2) Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite to generate documents, manage databases, spreadsheets, and calendars; 3) Applying knowledge of processing directives, correspondences, awards, and evaluations; 4) Handling sensitive materials in accordance with policies and procedures.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
