Full Job Description


Under general supervision, performs professional duties in the creation and maintenance of accounting records, the review and analysis of financial transactions, and the external and internal reporting of financial information.

Audit and process voucher invoices (purchase orders and direct pay). Ensures committed expenditures are coded in compliance with State and Departmental policies.

Serves as vendor liaison for billing issues. Budget liaison between Budget Office and Accounts Payable.


Requirements

A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking. A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience.

Qualifications


A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related courses. Knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and terminology of accounting, auditing, banking, budgeting, financial management or investment.

Knowledge of state government fiscal and accounting processes. Ability to interpret and analyze financial

date, records and reports. Ability to communicate effectively. Experience working with SCEIS (South Carolina Enterprise Information System).
