About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 30 FSS Resource Management Flight.

This position will be filled as a Regular Part Time employment category, guaranteed 20.00 hours per week. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) accounting experience is preferred; however, if applicants do not have NAF accounting experience, private sector accounting experience is mandatory (double-entry bookkeeping).

Must have comprehensive knowledge of double- entry accounting methods, procedures and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all classes of accounts in accounting.

Must have the ability to prepare computerized or manual financial statements and reports.

Knowledge and understanding of the regulations, guides, and precedents sufficient to flow individual funds and specific monies from initiation through expenditure stages in order to trace discrepancies in the system.

Must possess the ability to work with automated, computerized accounting program. Must have experience in Microsoft Excel. Position is a position of trust.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

Performs a full range of accounting duties using double entry accrual accounting methods.

Classifies and verifies a wide variety of accounting documents in order to assure their mathematical correctness, completeness of information and to prepare control sheets with appropriate accounting codes.

Maintains double entry bookkeeping journals and subsidiary ledger and post entries to affected general ledger accounts.

Prepares monthly balances, reconciles subsidiary accounts to general ledger control accounts. Traces discrepancies, if necessary, to posting documents, and makes correcting entries.

Trains activity personnel on proper completion of accounting documents or accounting programs and proper accounting entries required for varied situations.

Works with various outside organizations to include vendors, MAJCOM accounting staff and Agency accounting/computer staff.

Prepares and provides various reports to MAJCOM and Air Force points of contact, and prepares miscellaneous financial reporting data.

Applies knowledge of the organization's financial policy, procedures, processes and regulations governing the diversified activities to interpret and apply them in a variety of financial situations.

Duties are assigned in terms of identifying priorities and deadlines.

Maintains and performs all aspects that pertain to the GPC Impac Card, which includes maintaining and training cardholders and billing officials. Performs other related duties as assigned.
