What You Will Be Doing:

Are you ready to lead transformational changes in Alaska’s health care system? The Department of Health is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as Accountant 4, for the new and innovative Rural Health Transformation Program.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Provide high-level, specialized accounting, financial management, and fund accounting services in support of the Rural Health Transformation Fund
  • Oversee and certify financial transactions related to revenues and expenditures
  • Oversee federal accounting, recording, and reporting functions, including the submission of federally mandated reports
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal accounting and reporting requirements
  • Provide complex financial analysis, fund accounting, compliance, and internal control for a significant federal grant program
  • Ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Work closely with project coordinators, the Administrative Operations Manager, and federal partners to administer program funds and adjust budgets as program needs evolve.
